Shape
Hemispherical cap from 2–6 cm in diameter. It is smooth and sulphur yellow, orange-brown centre and whitish margin. It has a purple-brown spore print. The blades are tight, yellowish to greenish. They are generally gregarious.
Name
Their name is taken from the Greek ûphos, "filament" and loma, "brim", in reference to the sometimes fringed margin of their cap.
Habitat
Grows prolifically on the dead wood of deciduous and coniferous trees.

Europe.

Odorless, bitter and toxic.
Culinary notes
Do not consume this highly toxic mushroom, symptoms may be delayed for 5–10 hours after consumption (diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and collapse).
